Girl, 16, claims man raped her on her birthday, court hears

A Mayo teenager has claimed that a man raped her on her 16th birthday and then told her "this can be your birthday present".

The now 18-year-old woman made her claim in the trial of the 29-year-old accused who has pleaded not guilty at the Central Criminal Court to raping her in a Mayo town on July 21, 2005.
