New evidence of plagiarism in FG TD Flanagan's speeches

Fine Gael's Terrance Flanagan has been caught copying his Dáil colleagues work again.

It has emerged that the Dublin North East TD has used excerpts from other people's speeches at least six times.

The Sunday Times examined the Dáil record and found that Deputy Flanagan had borrowed work from Labour's Joanna Tuffy, Sinn Féin's Caoimhghin Ó Caoláin and Fine Gael's Brian Hayes.

The plagiarism first came to light after he admitted copying a speech originally made by Labour's Joan Burton last month.

However, Mr Flanagan disputes these new cases, saying the repetition came about because he was using research material provided by Fine Gael.
