Man dies as train collides with car at level crossing

A man has died after his car was struck by a train at a level crossing in Co Mayo this morning.

The incident happened at the Straide level crossing near Castlebar at around 11am.

The driver of the car was pronounced dead at the scene.

Gardaí and Iarnród Éireann are investigating the incident.
