O'Keefe re-admitted to Fianna Fail
The Government Chief Whip and Minister of State Tom Kitt confirmed tonight that Ned O'Keefe has been re-admitted to Fianna Fail.
The Cork East Deputy resigned the party last November.
In a statement from the Party tonight, it was announced that at this evening's parliamentary party meeting, Deputy Kitt proposed that the whip be restored to Deputy O'Keeffe following a request from him seeking re-admission.
It was seconded by Noel Tracey (Galway East) and unanimously agreed.
Deputy O'Keeffe said to Mr Kitt privately, that he recognised and accepted the responsibilities of parliamentary party membership, and gave his commitment to "the full disciplines of the party."
He will attend the next parliamentary party meeting next week.
