Talks adjourn at Labour Court in air traffic controllers dispute

The Labour Court will issue recommendations later this evening, which if accepted, will end the dispute between air traffic controllers and the Irish Aviation Authority.

The clash threatened to ground all flights in and out of the country on Thursday.

That threat was lifted while these talks were in progress, and the recommendations of the Labour Court will be discussed with staff at the three bases at Dublin, Cork and Shannon throughout the course of tomorrow.

It is unclear at this stage when the proposals will be put to a ballot.
