Gardaí continue to question seven in connection with terrorist activity

Seven men remain in Garda custody in connection with a major investigation into serious crime and terrorist activity.

The latest arrest happened late last night in Limerick.

Six other men are being questioned in a number of Garda stations across Cork city.

They were arrested as part of a joint operation between local Gardaí and the Emergency Response Unit.

A number of unspecified items were seized as part of the operation.

The men range in age from their twenties and their fifties.
