Gardaí have released two men arrested yesterday in connection with the killing of an Estonian national in north Co Dublin last April.

A third man who was also arrested in connection with the case has been admitted to hospital for treatment to a wound he sustained before his detention.

The three were detained in connection with the murder of 28-year-old Valerii Ranert, who was beaten to death on the Naul Road in Swords by a gang who tried to steal his mobile phone.

He had arrived in Ireland just two months previously.
