Jury in rape trial sent to hotel

The jury in the trial at the Central Criminal Court of a Cork man charged with raping his then girlfriend's two teenage sisters has been sent to a hotel for a second night.

Mr Justice Patrick McCarthy sent the jury away on day-six of the hearing, after it had been deliberating for over eight hours without reaching a verdict on all of the charges.
