Man remains critical following Dublin assault on Saturday

A 26-year-old man remains in a critical condition in the Mater hospital in Dublin after an incident in the early of hours of Saturday morning.

The man was attacked by a gang of men in the Abbey Hotel in the city centre and suffered serious head injuries.

Gardaí at Store Street are investigating and are appealing for witnesses.
