Fire alarm causes Limerick operations to be postponed
A number of operations had to be postponed at the Mid Western Regional Hospital in Limerick today after a fire alarm was activated.
It's understood smoke from an overheating motor on the roof of the theatre block entered a vent triggering a smoke alarm.
The fire service attended the scene and carried out an inspection, but no damage and no injuries were caused in the incident.
Management at the hospital have confirmed a number of operations this morning after a fire alarm was activated.
