Cardinal Sean Brady will lead a conference focused on good neighbours in Dublin next week, it emerged today.

Archbishop of Dublin Dr Diarmuid Martin will also take part in the event in Croke Park on Monday.

The conference, organised by the Irish Commission for Justice and Social Affairs (ICJSA), will also discuss Pope Benedict XVI’s Encyclical Letter, God is Love.

The ’Who Is Ny Neighbour?’ event will explore the significance of the document for contemporary Irish society,“ said a spokesman for the event.

The keynote addresses will be delivered by the director of the Centre for the Study of Human Rights at London School of Economics, Prof Conor Gearty.

Other speakers include National Centre for Partnership and Performance director Lucy Fallon-Byrne and Bishop of Limerick Dr Donal Murray.

The Maynooth-based ICJSA, which was established in 2005, promotes the social teaching of the Catholic Church and advises on national and international issues of social concern.
