Ahern dismisses talk of six-month tribunal delay

The Taoiseach, Bertie Ahern, has denied that his High Court action against the Mahon Tribunal will delay the inquiry by up to six months.

Mr Ahern is challenging the tribunal's right to question him on statements he made in the Dáil, claiming they are privileged under the Constitution.
