Monitoring of Tyrone rapist costing £45,000 a week
The authorities in the North are apparently spending £45,000-a-week to monitor a man who was released from prison recently after serving a sentence for raping a 91-year-old woman.
Eamon Foley was released two weeks ago after spending eight years in jail for raping Tyrone woman Mary Anne McLaughlin nine years ago.
He is believed to be living near the village of Gortin, where residents are campaigning to get him moved away from the area.
Neighbours say it is ridiculous that such a large sum of money has been spent on a convicted rapist when there's a pressing need for other police work.
