Man shot dead near border

A man has been shot dead in a gun attack close to the border.

Gardai from Lifford are investigating the fatal shooting at Donnyloop, Castelfin, Co Donegal.

The scene of the crime – which is close to the border with Strabane, Northern Ireland – has been preserved for a forensic examination.

The services of the State Pathologist and the Garda Technical Bureau have been requested.
