Ned O'Keeffe seeks readmission to Fianna Fáil
Former Fianna Fáil TD Ned O'Keeffe is reportedly seeking to rejoin the party just over two months after resigning in protest at the Government's health policies.
Mr O'Keeffe resigned the party whip in November when the Dáil was debating a motion of no confidence in the Minister for Health Mary Harney.
The Cork East TD said he was not satisfied with the way Ms Harney was running the health service and he would not support her in the vote.
However, reports this morning say he has now written to Fianna Fáil applying for readmission to the parliamentary party.
Asked about the matter in Dublin today, The Minister for Enterprise Micheal Martin said he would welcome the return of his fellow Corkman.
