The N55 is completely blocked at Granard in Co Longford this afternoon following an accident involving a truck.

The N55 is completely blocked at Granard in Co Longford this afternoon following an accident involving a truck.

The truck has jack-knifed on the main road between Edgeworthstown and Cavan.

AA Roadwatch is also reporting another crash on the nearby Granard to Coole road at Abbeylara.

Road conditions are said to be very bad in the area.
