Poll: Majority believe Govt was wrong to accept pay rises

A large majority of voters believe government ministers were wrong to accept their recent massive pay rises, according to an opinion poll published this morning.

Just over 80% of respondents to The Irish Times poll, including a majority of Fianna Fáil voters, said the pay awards should not have been accepted.
