Some progress at air-traffic dispute talks

Talks between the Irish Aviation Authority and Air Traffic Control (ATC) operators have broken up for the evening at the Labour Relations Commission (LRC) with progress reported as having been made.

A formula for future talks has been agreed, and the company will contact the union over the next few days and invite them to return to the table to discuss the issues identified.

They will continue for two weeks outside of the LRC process, though if talks do not resume within that time frame, the state macinery will intervene at that point.

ATC operatives will continue to work as normal pending the outcome of the negotiations.
