The Labour Relations Commission is due to oversee talks this morning aimed at resolving a row involving air-traffic controllers.

The employees have already imposed a boycott on overtime to protest against what they say are chronic staff shortages.

The Irish Aviation Authority has denied that there are any problems with staffing levels.

However, IMPACT says air traffic has increased substantially since 2001, but staff levels have not risen accordingly and the service has only been maintained because controllers are working rest days and overtime.
