Flooding causes major traffic disruption in North

Heavy overnight rain has caused major traffic disruption in the North this morning, with floods affecting roads in Armagh, Fermanagh, Down and Antrim.

The main Belfast-to-Dublin road is heavily flooded at Banbridge, with motorists having to use the central reservation.

Other affected roads include main commuter roads into Belfast from Lisburn, Craigavon, Glenavy and Comber.

The Met office says the rain should ease later, but motorists are being advised to take extreme care.
