Air traffic controllers agree end to unofficial overtime ban

Air traffic controllers at Dublin Airport have today agreed to end their unofficial overtime ban.

The agreement is pending a Labour Relations Commission (LRC) hearing later this week.

Controllers had refused to do any unrostered work due to their concerns about staffing levels at the airport.

However, the IMPACT union says normal services have now resumed pending the outcome of the hearing into the dispute.

Representatives from the Irish Aviation Authority and IMPACT will meet at the LRC on Wednesday.

Bernard Harbour from IMPACT is hopeful a resolution will be found and get the services back to normal.
