Two charged in connection with child pornography

A man and woman in the North were tonight charged with child pornography offences as part of an international police probe.

The man, 33, is accused of making and possessing indecent images of children while the woman, 33, faces a possession charge.

They were arrested yesterday in north Antrim by police from the Child Abuse and Rape Enquiry Unit following an intelligence-led probe.

The raids followed a similar operation on January 8 when 10 people were arrested.

They will appear at Coleraine Magistrates’ Court on Monday.
