Lenihan defends Govt following FG attack

The Minister for Justice Brian Lenihan has been defending the Government following a scathing attack from Fine Gael.

Enda Kenny has again called on the Taoiseach to resign amid ongoing controversy over his financial affairs.

He has said Bertie Ahern has demeaned the office of Taoiseach, and if he refuses to go, the Tánaiste should force him out of office.

The Fine Gael leader has also insisted the controversy surrounding the Mahon Tribunal is distracting the Government from the real problems this country faces.
