Gardaí name victim of fatal Sligo shooting

Gardaí have released the name of the 39-year-old man shot dead in Sligo overnight.

David Lynch was killed when he was attacked at Collery Drive in Cranmore.

A 44-year-old man and a 12-year-old boy were also hurt during the incident and are being treated at Sligo General Hospital.

However, their injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.

Gardaí have launched a murder investigation and the Garda Technical Bureau is examining the scene.
