Suspect device found in Limerick

Gardaí in Limerick are investigating a suspect device, discovered in Clonlara.

The device was found in the early hours of this morning.

The Army Bomb Disposal Unit from Collins Barracks in Cork were called to the scene and carried out a controlled explosion.

A spokesperson for the Gardaí say their investigations into the incident are continuing.
