Hunt for intruder after attack on garda's wife

A masked intruder is being hunted by gardai after he attacked the wife of an officer, it emerged today.

There is no description of the attacker who was wearing a balaclava when he broke into the house in Donamon, around 12km outside Roscommon town, just after midnight.
