Woman assaulted during Roscommon burglary

Gardaí are investigating a burglary in Co Roscommon during which a woman was assaulted.

A man is understood to have broken into a house at Donamon in Ardmore just after midnight.

One woman was in the house at the time and was attacked by the intruder, suffering minor injuries.

Gardaí are now searching for the attacker, who escaped before they arrived at the scene.
