Divers are set to resume their searches this morning for two men who fell into rivers in Co Clare and Co Tipperary at the weekend.

Divers are set to resume their searches this morning for two men who fell into rivers in Co Clare and Co Tipperary at the weekend.

A man in his 20s is understood to have fallen into the River Fergus in Ennis at around 2am on Sunday, while a man in his 40s fell from into the River Suir from a bridge in Cahir at around 10am on Saturday night.

Searches yesterday failed to find any trace of the men.

The operation, which was hampered by bad weather and poor visibility, is set to resume at first light this morning.
