Man due in court over Guinness Brewery theft

A man in his 20s is due to appear before Kilmainham District Court next week charged in connection with the theft of 450 kegs of alcohol.

A man in his 20s is due to appear before Kilmainham District Court next week charged in connection with the theft of 450 kegs of alcohol.

€64,000 worth of alcohol was stolen from the Guinness Brewery last Wednesday.

The stolen merchandise was recovered in Co Meath on Monday and two men were arrested on Tuesday evening in connection with the raid.

One of the men was released and a file is being prepared for the DPP.

The other man will appear before the District Court on December 21.
