Gardaí release two held in connection with weapons seizure

Gardaí in Limerick have today released two people arrested yesterday in connection with a weapons seizure in the city.

The 17-year-old man and a woman in her 30's were detained after a number of firearms were found at houses in the O'Malley Park area of the city.

The weapons had been stolen during the course of a number of burglaries in the Limerick area during the last 12-18 months.

The two people taken into custody were released without charge overnight pending instructions from the Director of Public Prosecutions.
