A jury has been sworn in at the Central Criminal Court for the trial of a Co Offaly farmer on charges of raping and sexually assaulting a teenage girl over a decade ago.

A jury has been sworn in at the Central Criminal Court for the trial of a Co Offaly farmer on charges of raping and sexually assaulting a teenage girl over a decade ago.

The 54-year-old man has pleaded not guilty to 44 charges alleging offences at two places in Co Offaly on dates from 1990 to 1997.
