Woman dies in Cork car crash

A woman in her 20’s has been killed in a crash on a road between Cork and Newcastle West.

Gardaí said the crash happened close to Castlemahon Cross, when a car left the road and hit a tree.

The female passenger was killed and the male driver, also believed to be in his 20s, was taken to Limerick Regional Hospital suffering from serious injuries.
