Body recovered after car seen driving off pier

The body of a man in his fifties has been recovered from the water at Cahore pier in Co Wexford after a car was seen driving over the edge early this morning.

The Irish Coastguard helicopter, garda divers and lifeboat crews from Courtown and Cahore were involved in the search.

The eye-witnesses report seeing two occupants in the car as it drove off the pier but garda sources have not yet confirmed that they are still looking for a second body.
