Archbishop Brady becomes Ireland’s third cardinal

Archbishop Sean Brady has been formally made a cardinal by Pope Benedict XVI in the Vatican today.

Dr Brady's elevation to the College of Cardinals means Ireland now has three cardinals for the first time in its history.
