Man due in court in connection with Derry murder

A 30-year-old man is due to appear in court today in connection with the murder of a Limavady teenager during the week.

The body of 17 year-old Wendy McAteer was found in the Blackburn Path area of the town on Wednesday night.

Her remains were discovered just yards from her old high school, which she left just over a year ago.

The accused is expected to appear before Derry Magistrates Court later this morning.
