Harney backs cancer review doctor

Minister for Health Mary Harney has said she has confidence in the review of mammograms being carried out following the cancer misdiagnosis scandal at Portlaoise Hospital.

Yesterday, Ms Harney confirmed that Dr Ann O'Doherty, who is overseeing the review, was on the interview panel that appointed the doctor who made the original misdiagnoses.
