Minister for Health Mary Harney has said she has confidence in the review of mammograms being carried out following the cancer misdiagnosis scandal at Portlaoise Hospital.

The Government was today forced to extend a Dáil debate on cancer care services amid mounting Opposition anger over the botched diagnoses of at least seven women.
