Gardaí investigate woman's death in Monaghan fire

Gardaí are investigating a fire which killed a woman in Co Monaghan this afternoon.

It was discovered in a house at Kilnamaddy, Ballybay, shortly after 1pm today.

A woman in her 50s died in the incident and she was taken to Cavan Hospital.

The scene has been preserved for technical examination.
