Two injured in light aircraft crash

Two people were injured when a light aircraft plummeted into a field in the North.

The crash occurred before 3pm on the Corcreaghan Road in Kilkeel, Co Down.

Ambulance staff and police treated the two people on board. They were transferred to Daisy Hill Hospital in Newry.

Their injuries were not believed to be life threatening.
