An Bord Pleanála says record levels of planning appeals are putting its resources under severe strain.

An Bord Pleanála says record levels of planning appeals are putting its resources under severe strain.

The organisation says appeals are set to top 7,000 this year, an increase of 14% on 2006.

It says this is causing delays in the amount of time it takes for decisions to be made.
