McAleese hosts reception for Special Olympics team

President Mary McAleese is hosting a reception at Áras an Uachtarain today for athletes and coaches involved in the Special Olympics.

The event has been arranged to recognise the achievements of Team Ireland at the recent tournament in Shanghai.

Around 140 athletes and their trainers will attend the reception along with the chief executive and chairman of Special Olympics Ireland.
