Polish workers at Moneypoint vote to accept settlement

The 200 Polish members of the TEEU working on the Moneypoint power station refit in Co Clare today voted unanimously to accept the settlement terms of their dispute with ZRE.

The Polish subcontractor which left them stranded with up to six weeks pay arrears has gone into liquidation.

Meanwhile, all of the workers involved have been offered jobs with the main contractor Lentjes at the Moneypoint site, or with other contractors there, including the UK-based company AMEC, which is taking over the ZRE contract.
