Cabinet discusses civil unions for same-sex couples

The cabinet is understood to have discussed the issue of civil unions for same-sex couples at its regular weekly meeting today.

The move comes as the Labour Party plans to re-introduce its proposed Civil Unions Bill during private members' time in the Dáil this evening.
