Two arrested in connection with Drogheda fire

Two men have been arrested in connection with a fire at an apartment complex in Drogheda, Co. Louth.

Two men have been arrested in connection with a fire at an apartment complex in Drogheda, Co. Louth.

60 people were evacuated from the building on the North Quay after the blaze broke out at around two o'clock yesterday morning.

The local fire service spent three hours tackling the fire, which caused extensive damage to the building.

The suspects are being questioned at Drogheda Garda Station.
