Minister wants establishment of postcodes as soon as possible

The Minister for Communications confirmed today he is committed to the delivery of postcodes here.

Minister Eamon Ryan said he's hopeful the system can be introduced sooner rather than later.

Mr Ryan said the establishment of a postcodes system had a critical role to play in the development of a modern postal sector, and would also bring benefits to other sectors of society.
