Woman's body recovered from River Lee in Cork city

Gardaí are investigating the death of a 53-year-old woman whose body was recovered from the River Lee in Cork city this morning.

A post mortem is due to be carried out later today to determine the cause of the woman's death.

An incident room has also been set up at Anglesea Garda Station and detectives are appealing for help from the public in connection with the case.

They say they want to speak to anyone who may have been in the Albert Quay/Kennedy Quay area early this morning.
