Labels to highlight risks of drinking while pregnant

The drinks industry has reportedly agreed to place warnings on all alcohol packaging about the dangers of drinking while pregnant.

The warnings will be carried on all alcohol containers sold in the Republic and will take the form of either a written message or an image of a pregnant woman with a diagonal red line.
