Two women questioned over West Cork murder released

Two women being questioned in connection with the murder of a man in west Cork have been released without charge and a file is being prepared for the Director of Public Prosecutions.

A third woman who was being questioned on suspicion of assisting in the commission of an offence has also been released.

The body of this 37-year-old Englishman, who has been named locally as Garry Bull, was discovered by gardaí in a slurry pit on a farm near Dunmanway on Thursday.

A post mortem revealed he had died from severe head injuries.

On Friday three woman were arrested in Dublin and brought to Cork for questioning.

At 11am this morning two women, aged 32 and 42, who were being questioned in connection with the man's murder were released from Bandon Garda Station.

A 19-year-old woman who was being questioned on suspicion of assisting in the commission of an offence has also been released without charge.

And a 22-year-old man, who was arrested in Dungarvan, has been released from questioning in relation to this investigation.
