Hundreds protest lack of full-time fire service in Bray
Hundreds of people took to the streets in Bray, Co Wicklow today in protest at the failure to provide a full-time fire service in the town.
The demonstration follows the deaths of two part-time firemen who were killed as the fought to bring a blaze under control in a disused factory on Wednesday September 26.
The families of 46-year-old Brian Murray and 26-year-old Mark O'Shaughnessy have been calling for a full-time fire service since their tragic deaths.
Gardaí are advising motorists to avoid the main street in the town until the protest finishes up.
