HSE job freeze 'exacerbating A&E overcrowding', say FG
Fine Gael has today claimed that the HSE's recruitment freeze is exacerbating the overcrowding problem in Ireland’s A&E units.
The party says figures from the Irish Nurses Organisation show that there were more patients waiting on trolleys in the first 10 days of this month than in the same period last year.
It says the situation is a result of the recruitment freeze and the problem will only get worse as the busy winter season approaches.
